10/28/08 update

Carter stayed home sick today. I took a day off to stay with him. He's feeling better now, but was running fever and said his body hurt. Hopefully he'll be good to go in the morning. The boys are so excited about halloween and their costumes.

We had a great weekend visiting with the grandparents. I took a few pictures of the boys up at Bell Park, and explained to them that me and their momma went on field trips there when we were their age. They had a good time.

Carson and Carter Love NASCAR!

Over the last few months, the boys have really become interested in NASCAR racing. Now, every Sunday after church, the boys ask to put it on the race. Carson likes Jimmie Johnson, who drives the #48 Lowe's Car. I think he picked it because he has a little toy Lowe's car. Also, his friend Dylan likes the #20 Home Depot car. They like to race against each other. We do not like Tony Stewart. Carter likes Dale Jr., the AMP car. It's cute to listen to them talk about it and pretend while playing with their little racecars, or on their bikes.

I found this drawing in Carson's backpack yesterday. He drew this at school.

Boys' Christmas List

We have been asked to make a Christmas list for for the boys to give to their Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles, etc. Click the link below to see their list. Email me at razorbackaaron@yahoo.com if you buy anything off the list and I'll remove it so nobody else gets the same thing. It's already October, and we'll be going to the mall soon to see Santa. The boys are excited about Halloween. We have some really special costumes for them. Check back Halloween night to see what they are!

Here's the list: http://www.carsonboy.net/christmas%20list.htm

Pencil Sale

Today after school/work, the boys were playing out front a little bit. Carter came in for a drink, and I asked him what Carson was doing. He said, "He's selling pencils". We walked out into the garage and saw this.........

Little Rockers

Carson and Carter are really into music. They have some CD's they listen to on their radio. Allison gave them a couple of "Monster of Rock" CD's, and occasionally we'll hear Twisted Sister or Quiet Riot blaring from their room. We crack up when that happens.

They have grown to really like Benjamin Del Shreve, which is a local band. They play in Fayetteville, Tulsa, and Little Rock mainly. They are very good and we hear them on the radio a lot. The boys ask to watch their videos on youtube all the time, and they'll watch it over and over. We have attempted to take them to see them twice. Once at gulley park in fayetteville, but the band was stuck in Denver at the airport and never made it. The boys were disappointed. The other night, we took Carson to see them at BWW, but it rained and they couldn't go on outside on the patio. Carson cried, he really wanted to see them. We hope to get it worked out soon.

Carson loves the song "Panama" by Van Halen. He heard it on the radio in the jeep once and wanted me to buy the CD. I let him know that I do have that CD and we listen to it in the jeep now. He likes that. He also likes Seether's "Rise above this", and was really interested when we told him that we went to see them the other night in Fayetteville.

They are both extremely interested in Daddy's guitar. They want to play with it all the time, but I mainly let them play with my old accoustic. They both want a "guitar you plug in like daddy's" and drums too. This past weekend, we took them into the guitar center in fayetteville. They loved that. They had a Squire mini electric that was just carson's size. He held it and wouldn't hardly put it down, he wanted it bad. I think we are going to buy him that and a small 15-20 WATT amp for Christmas. We looked at drums for Carter. I really think Carter would like drums better than a guitar. Not sure he's ready to have a guitar, but Carson probably is. I think I can get some cheapo electronic drums for Carter. That way, he can plug some headphones into them.

After we got home from the guitar center, they were singing loudly and making guitar riff noises with their mouths, while playing air guitar.

Digging a Hole....

Carson and Carter came running in the house to tell us about the BIG HOLE they were digging with their little shovels. They said they were gonna dig all the way to the ocean, so they could fish from our back yard. They were filthy! They were so excited though. They wanted me to come look at it, so I grabbed the camera and followed them out back. I was expecting a large crater in the back yard, but it was just a little hole. They sure thought they were gonna dig it all the way to the bottom of the earth, though. Here is a picture..

Busy week...

Been a busy week. The boys got to stay with Kellie and play with her girls the other night. Me and Allison went to see Seether, Black Stone Cherry, and Theory of a Deadman in fayetteville. We had fun, and I think the boys had fun playing with the girls, even though they would NEVER admit it.

The boys are fine, they got over their sickness. We have nothing planned for the weekend, so we'll just hang out here at the house and play if it's nice.

Sleepy Boys

I was at the mall last night while Carson was playing on the playground, and I was looking through the pictures on my phone. I had 3 pictures of the boys sleeping in odd places, so I thought I'd share those.

Carter Bob

No, "bob" is not his middle name, but that's what we call him. He was a groucy todler, and his momma started calling him "Carterbob grouchpants", and the name sort of stuck. Poor little guy.

Anyway, C-bob has strep throat today. His pre-k teacher told us that he had a bad day yesterday. Last night, he was running some fever and still has a nasty cough brought on by allergies. Mine have been bad too.

We sent out the bat signal, and his Gagas met Allison and Carter at the doctors office in Fayetteville first thing this morning. He has strep and got some anti-biotics. Gaga took him home with them and he's been feeling pretty good all day. He always feels better when he's with a grandparent. They will watch him for a couple of days and we'll go get him later this week or this weekend.

Carson doesn't know yet, so he probably won't be too happy that Carter got to go and he didn't. He's got something fun planned for Saturday though, unless we go down to get C-bob.
