Pictures from the ice storm!

Here are a few pictures we took during this big ice storm here in NWA. We lost power yesterday and went to stay at our friends house out by the lake. Matt and Kellie lost power too, but they had 9,000 Watts of generator power. We had lights, heat, food, and the kids even played the Wii all night. It was a lot of fun. Our power came back on this afternoon, and now Matt, Kellie, and their girls are staying with us tonight since they still don't have any electricity. Here are the pictures.....

We have a lot of ice here in NWA. The kids have no school today and Allison's office is closed, so we are just hanging out hoping the power doesn't go out. I guess if it does, we can go outside and play basketball!

I'd like to say that we've just been too busy to update the site lately, but that's not true. I have just been lazy. The boys are doing great! We had a good New Year's. They have been "Rocking Out" with their new instruments and playing the Wii like crazy. We spent the weekend in Greenwood and they had a blast! The weather was great and they got to play outside a lot.

We went with our friends Matt, Kellie, Savannah, and Mary to watch the Lady Razorbacks Gymnastics match the other night at Barnhill. We didn't think the boys would like it, but they actually paid attention and want to go back. We may do that again some time.

There was no school today in Springdale for "Teacher In Service", so I took the boys to see Hotel for Dogs. It was pretty cute. We met momma for lunch too and just had a really good day.

The boys had the best Christmas ever! We woke up in our own house, got what they asked for, and then got to spend time with family down in Greenwood. I have added a few pictures. Click to see them!

We let the boys open their Wii a little early this year. I figured that when Santa brings their drums and guitars that they will be overwhelmed, and I'm sure they will clean up on Christmas Day at their Grandparents. They were really excited and it was fun to watch them. I took a few pictures last night. We will see everyone on Christmas day!

The boys went to see Santa the other night at the NWA mall. We had a chance to see Santa at another event earlier, but we didn't mess with him, since he isn't the REAL Santa. Carson knows this is the real deal, because he is always there. The others just work for him. Carson asked for an electric guitar and amplifier, and lots of surprises. Gosh, I hope Santa brings this for him. Maybe he'll leave Daddy's guitars alone then. Carter asked for drums and surprises. I think Santa knows that Carter wants "electronic drums" and will bring him some headphones to go with them. That way, momma and daddy will not go insane.

Almost Christmas

One more week of school before Christmas break. The boys are so excited! We have our tree up, and even some presents under it. We cannot wait to get down to see all our family and friends for Christmas. I hope everyone has been good boys and girls.

We had a great thanksgiving. Good to see all our family and friends. We'll be back for Christmas really soon. We are going to spend Christmas morning at home this year because Santa never gets to come here. We want the boys to wake up in their own beds on Christmas morning this year. Plus, I have a hunch that the stuff Santa is bringing this year will not fit in the car to bring home.

Me and the boys are home today waiting for momma to get home from work. After she gets home, we are going to see family in Greenwood. The boys have been picking up their rooms and the back yard. They had every outside toy spread across the back yard. I told them to pick them all up before we leave to see their grandparents. As you can see by this picture, they had quite the system to get the job done.

Carter and his Pre-K class went to sing some Christmas songs at the hospital Monday night. His little friend is Brock, and they have been big buddies since they were in diapers.
