Buffalo River Trip

I took the boys to the Buffalo River this weekend for some camping/fishing/hiking/swimming/etc. They had a blast sleeping in the tent and stuff. Here's a picture momma snapped of us right before we left. I have some more that I'll try and upload this week.

Carter turned 5 on Saturday, April 18th. We had a little family gathering for his party at Gaga's this weekend. Thanks everyone for all his gifts.

Baseball 2009

Carson had his first baseball game this week. This year is the real deal, machine pitch. 3 strikes and you're out, stealing bases, etc. Our team lost 11-9, but Carson did ok. I was afraid he'd strike out, but his first at bat, he hit a double and eventually came on home to score a run. His second at bat was a single, but the third out came while he was stranded on second. Baseball is fun.

Every night before we go to bed, we go check on the boys. I always make sure they are covered up, and I kiss them on the head. Carter is usually just how he was when he crawled into bed. Carson....well, he sleeps all over the place. I had to take a picture the other night of how he was sleeping...

Carter had a drum lesson tonight from Wade. Of course, he took his shirt off. He thinks he's a rock star with his jeans and boots on.

Boys' update

The boys are good. Carson started baseball practice this week. This year is machine pitch, 3 strikes, live ball past the catcher, so it's the real deal now. There are some good young boys on this team, I think they will be pretty good.

I started a new job this week too. Carter is back in Pre-K now and his first week back is going really well. He went on a field trip today to the fire station. He came home with his fireman's helmet and was all excited to tell us about it.

Spring break is next week, and they are planning on spending some time with the grandparents.

Boys had fun while momma and daddy were in Vegas!

The boys went to stay with their Gaga's the past weekend while me and Allison went out to Las Vegas to celebrate my new job. Monday and Tuesday, Gaga stayed at our house with them so they could get Carson to school and stuff. They boys got to go fishing at Keota, Carson rode the motorcycle in the nice weather, and they had a really good time. It was neat for them to have Gaga staying at their house, getting them up for breakfast and taking Carson to school. Me and Allison had a good time in Vegas. Now, it's back to normal.

Uncle Jeff came to visit on Friday. Me and Jeff and C-bob hung out all day, went to eat BBQ, and went to some gun stores around NWA. Of course, he couldn't come visit without Aunt Bridget sending some goodies for the boys. She always knows just what to get them, and they love their new NASCAR coloring pads. Here they are today working on them. I told them we could hang them up in their rooms when they are finished.

Great weekend for all of us

The boys went to Gaga's over the weekend. They had a blast. Me and Allison went to see Benjamin Del Shreve at George's on Dickson. The boys' love BDS! Carson cried when he found out we were going, but he couldn't go since it was an 18 and up show. We have tried twice to take the boys to see them. Last summer at Gulley park, they were stuck in an airport and couldn't make it. Then it rained out a scheduled BWW appearance in Springdale (Carson cried then too).

We did get Allison's picture taken with Ben, which Carson thinks is cool. We told Ben about the boys and how they love their music. He even recognized Carter. He has seen Carter's youtube video with his spongebob guitar and singing BDS songs. The whole band had watched that. That was really cool! He said they were going to try and have an all ages show coming up so we can get the boys to see them.
