First week out of school!

What a great week it's been. The boys spent the entire week (well, after school let out monday) with their Grandparents. They had VBS at their Gaga's church (also where I went to VBS as a kid) all week and had fun. They made a bunch of new friends that Carson said were his cousins that he didn't even know he had. How fun. They went fishing at their Uncles pond too.

They got to spend time with all their family and went to see Marmaduke with Nana and Papa yesterday. They have eaten at their favorite pizza place in Fort Smith and Gaga fried up a lot of barfish and crappie too. I think Carson ate 7 pieces they said. Big fun for two boys on summer vacation. Me and Allison have had a good week too. So nice getting ready for work in the mornings in the QUIET! Big D has even enjoyed the peace and quiet around here.

We are having a "True Blood" watch party here tonight with some friends. I have a pork butt on the smoker. Dallas is helping me keep an eye on it...

The last day of school is tomorrow! We are so excited. We've already been enjoying fun in the sun. Memorial day was great. Uncle Dave cooked brisket and ribs and we had a great time at Gagas. We swam, played outside, and even went fishing at Granddad's pond. Dallas even went with us. He had fun too!

We also just got back from Silver Dollar City. The boys actually enjoyed the park this year. They rode the powder keg this time and said they liked it but didn't want back on it for a second time. I tried to get Carson to ride the Wild Fire with me, but he wouldn't do it. Maybe next year. They still had a lot of fun. We took them through the cave this year. They liked it the best. After SDC, we went by Branson Landing to shop a bit and go to Bass Pro. We stopped and ate at Landry's for dinner before heading back home. Allison loves their Bananas foster desert. The boys got some fried crawfish tails to try. They loved them and wanted a picture.

Dallas was upset because he saw us packing up and loading the car before leaving. He thought we were going to take him too. He had to stay home all day in his cage. Our friend Audrey came by twice and let him out though. We felt bad for him being in there all day (we left at 8AM and didn't get back until 10PM. We let him sleep out of the cage that night and he spent most of the night curled up by our feet on our bed. His butt is going back in his cage tonight though.

Today was a nice day, so we spent some time outside. Here's Carter helping momma wash her car and we also gave Big D a bath!

Big D and the Boys

That's what I'm calling us now. Big D (Our dog Dallas) is so much fun. We've had him a few weeks now, and he's one of the family. He's such a good boy. He's also learned to go in the truck any chance he gets. He'll actually go to my truck and sit by the door. If opened, he'll hop right up in there to go somewhere. We take him to the lake, the pet store, taco bueno, you name it. We'll be taking him to Gagas on Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully that goes ok. We are getting him a bigger crate to sleep in at our house and going to leave the one he has at Gagas so he can sleep in that while down there.

We got a new dog!

The boys got a new dog this week. He's a 9 month old Labradoodle named Dallas! He is a really sweet boy and we all just love him! He got to go fishing with me and the boys today and also to Lake Atalanta! Click below to see more pictures.......

Fishing on the white river

We have spent a couple of weekends up on the white river below the beaver dam trying to catch some trout. Our first trip, we didn't catch anything. They were generating all morning and it messed up our fishing.

Carter's birthday

We celebrated Carter's birthday on April 18th. He had a friend sleep over on Friday night and we had a blast. Saturday, he went to his Gagas and they had fun and ate at "The Barn". We had a family party for him on Sunday at his Nannas per his request. He is getting too big. Can't believe he his 6!
